Connections

The Connections section in the Configuration workspace brings together all external service connections and data connectors in one place. It is split into the Connectors tab, the connection type tabs and the Plugins tab.

Access

Navigate to Configuration > Connections in the sidebar.

Connectors tab

The Connectors tab shows all configured data connectors as a card grid. Each card displays the connector type logo, display name, current status, and last synchronization time. Use this tab to add, monitor, run, edit, and delete connectors. See Connectors for full details.

Connection type tabs

The connection type tabs show the connections of the available types as cards. The following tabs are available:

•Technology Catalog: Enriches raw software and hardware inventory data with normalized product information from the Technology Catalog. See Technology Catalog Connection.

•Package Store: Manages software packages and deployment workflows across your environment.

•AI+Chat: The AI Chat, SAM Cloud and Voice Control connections. See AI Chat Connection, SAM Cloud Connection and Voice Control Connection.

•Data Hub: Centralizes and manages data assets across your organization. See Data Hub Connection.

•Plugins: The installed plugins. See Keep track of plugins.

Connection cards

Each connection card shows the logo, name and a brief description of the connection and a badge with its state: Active or Inactive, or Not configured if the connection has not been set up yet. The card body lists the current settings. Secrets such as API keys are masked; click the settings table to reveal them for a few seconds.

•Set up...: Opens the setup wizard of a connection that is not configured yet.

•Edit...: Opens the edit dialog of a configured connection. Use it to change the settings, including the Activated state.

For a step-by-step example, see Set up a connection and Inspect and edit a connection.
