Ignored

This section contains all the fingerprints that have been ignored.

 

FingerprintsIgnored

 

The following information (if available) is shown for the fingerprints (if available):

 

Type: The type of the fingerprint. A table listing the types can be found here.

Name: The name of the software the fingerprint belongs to.

Version: The version of the software the fingerprint belongs to.

Publisher: The publisher of the software the fingerprint belongs to.

Language: The language of the software the fingerprint belongs to.

Popularity: The number of times the specific fingerprint has been found.

Recognition: The entry represents the recognition level of the fingerprint.

ochecksumContent: This entry matches the "Fallback product" entry in the filter.

oChecksumFileName: This entry matches the "Fallback publisher" entry in the filter.

Ignore reason: Shows the reason why the fingerprint has been ignored. The different reasons why to ignore a fingerprint can be found in the Reasons for Ignoring a Fingerprint paragraph.

Info: This will open a pop-up showing the information that is contained in the fingerprint.

 

Reasons for Ignoring a Fingerprint

 

If a fingerprint is set to ignored, a reason must be given. There are different reasons why a fingerprint might be added to the ignored category.

 

The following reasons to ignore a fingerprint can be selected:

 

Missing information: Necessary information is missing from the fingerprint.

No qualified information:

Hotfix: The fingerprint belongs to a hotfix and not to the main product.

Service Pack: The fingerprint belongs to a service pack and not to the main product.

Update: The fingerprint belongs to an update an not to the main product.

Incomplete:

Ambiguous: The fingerprint can belong to multiple products and cannot be explicitly attributed to a specific product.
