Workspaces in the sidebar menu > Endpoint Management

The Patching section of the Endpoint Management workspace provides a consolidated view of software products installed on managed devices for which newer versions are available. It enables you to identify outdated software across the managed estate and initiate update deployments directly from the list.

Access: Open Workspaces > Endpoint Management > Patching in the left sidebar.

Patching List

The patching list shows all software products detected on managed devices that have a newer version available. The list can be filtered by device using the device selector in the toolbar, allowing you to focus on the update status of a specific managed device. The following columns are available:

•Application: The name of the software product with an available update.

•Manufacturer: The software vendor responsible for the product.

•Platform: The operating system platform on which the software is installed.

•Version: The version of the software currently installed on the managed devices.

•New Version: The newer version that is available for the software product.

•Patch Source: The source from which the update package is obtained — either from the local Library (an existing package already in the Package Library) or from the Package Store (available for import from the Raynet Package Store).

•Installations: The number of managed devices on which the outdated version of the software is currently installed.

•Vulnerability Score: The security vulnerability score associated with the currently installed version of the software, where available. A higher score indicates a greater security risk.

Initiating a Software Update

To update a software product on managed devices, select the entry in the patching list and use the available action to start the update process. Depending on the patch source, the platform either downloads the newer package version from the Package Store or uses an existing package from the library. After the package is ready, the deployment wizard opens, allowing you to select the target devices and review the deployment configuration before proceeding.

Update jobs created through the Patching section can be monitored from the Jobs view, or from the Jobs tab within the individual managed device details.

The Vulnerability Score column helps prioritize which software updates to address first from a security perspective, particularly for products with known vulnerabilities in the installed version.
