Now that you've got a first impression on Raynet One and its functionality, you can start your journey on the platform. As you are beginning with an "empty space" and need to fill up your platform with initial data, there are four mandatory steps first.

In order to access relevant data and assets in your IT landscape, you need to:

•install a runner (also chapter Runners, especially for Windows users),

•determine valid credentials for discovery and inventory (also see chapter Credentials),

•start a discovery run,

•trigger an inventory run.

In order to simplify your work flows on the platform, you will also learn how to automate discovery and inventory runs by scheduling them.
