Detect discovery and inventory errors

While you can rely on Raynet One as a low-maintenance and full-service data management platform, occasionally there's still a need for user interaction, e.g. with regard to credentials and custom configurations. The Action center (located in the header) simplifies interaction, though, as it notifies you about issues occurring during automated jobs and changes in your IT landscape. Here's how to access the Action center and gain information on your IT assets and managed environment.

1.Open any view in Raynet One and navigate to the header bar. Click on the bell item to open the Action center and view all alerts and requests for user intervention.

2.Under Overview, select a notification to view a list of  IT assets concerned with failed runs. In this case, this will be incorrect or missing credentials. This is quite a common error occurring in bigger IT environments  with different OS.

3.Within the list of assets which platform jobs failed on. select an individual list entry. This entry is now opened in a details view, with an error description and three different troubleshooting options: Proceed, Skip instrument and Cancel inventory run (for discovery: discovery run).

4.Carefully read the description of the issue detected during the run and make an asset-specific troubleshooting decision.
