The General tab is used to define the core properties of the variable. The following options are available:
•Name: This field contains the name of the variable.
•Value: This field contains the value of the variable. This field supports auto-completion for the variable value.
•Placement: Defines the placement of the variable. The following options are available.
oAppend
oPrepend
oReplace
•Component: This field contains the component to which the variable belongs. The drop-down menu can be used to change the component to another component contained in the package.
