The agent enrollment workflow in Raynet One has been redesigned to provide a clearer separation between agent configuration and enrollment tokens. This makes it easier to manage agents, especially in environments with multiple scopes or serving endpoints.
·Scope is now on the enrollment token, not the agent settings. Agent settings are now scope-independent. The scope that an agent operates within is defined on the individual enrollment token.
·Serving endpoint is part of agent settings. The backend URL displayed to users is the initial serving endpoint and is now configured as part of the agent settings, replacing the previously separate serving endpoint configuration.
·Dedicated agent settings wizard. A separate wizard is now available for creating and editing agent settings, accessible from the Configuration workspace.
·Agent download from Configuration. The agent installer can now be downloaded directly from Configuration > Infrastructure > Downloads using the download popup.
Agent settings define the connection parameters that enrolled agents use to communicate with the platform. Agent settings are accessible from Configuration > Infrastructure > Agent settings. The agent settings list displays the following columns: Name (the label assigned to the agent settings entry) and Serving endpoints (the number of backend URLs configured for this entry). Additional columns may be available via the Column Chooser. A single agent settings entry can include multiple serving endpoints, allowing agents to communicate with the platform through different backend URLs. To create or modify agent settings:
5.Navigate to Configuration > Infrastructure > Agent settings in the left sidebar.
6.Click Add in the toolbar to open the Add agent settings wizard. For existing settings, click the settings row to open its details view or select Edit.
7.In the wizard, specify the agent settings including one or more serving endpoint URLs. Each serving endpoint is a backend URL that agents use to communicate with the platform after enrollment. Multiple serving endpoints can be added to a single agent settings entry.
8.Complete the wizard to save the agent settings.
Enrollment tokens authorize an agent to register with the platform and determine the scope in which it will operate. Each token is associated with a set of agent settings. Enrollment tokens are managed from Configuration > Infrastructure > Agent enrollment. The enrollment token list displays the following columns: Name, Scope, Agent settings, Remaining usage (how many more agents can enroll using this token), and Last used date (the date and time the token was last used for an enrollment). Additional columns may be available via the Column Chooser.
9.Navigate to Configuration > Infrastructure > Agent enrollment and select Add enrollment token to open the enrollment token wizard.
10.Assign the desired scope to the token. The scope defines the segment of the IT landscape this agent will operate on.
11.Link the token to the appropriate agent settings. You can create new agent settings inline during this step using the Add new settings option.
12.Set the Expires in duration for the token. After this period, the token can no longer be used to enroll new agents.
13.Complete the wizard to generate the token. Copy the token value and use it when running the agent installer on the target machine.
The agent installer package can be downloaded directly from the Raynet One interface. Navigate to Configuration > Infrastructure > Downloads and use the Download agent option to open the download popup and retrieve the appropriate installer for your target platform.
