Organization units (OUs), as their name reveals, are help you organize your IT landscape within Raynet One and display your business units at a glance. However, well-structured and correct OUs also ensure that you can execute platform jobs on specific assets or assets groups in case you assigned these assets to an OU of your choice. In order to profit from them, you first need to add and organize organization units.
1.In the Configuration workspace in the sidebar menu, open the Organization units view.
2.Click on Add organization units to open the Add organization unit wizard and create a new OU entry.
3.In the wizard, first enter a name and a description under Basic settings.
4.In the Details dialog, select and upload an icon (optional).
5.Under Relation, define a hierarchy by assigning your new OU to a Parent organization unit (optional). This only works if you already have created a matching parent OU-
6.If desired, enter a geographical location for your organizational unit.
7.Read the Summary to check on your configurations. If they are correct, click on Create. If you still want to change something, go back in the process.
8.Click on Finish to finalize the process. Otherwise, you can also read the details again. Your new organization unit is now listed in the Organization units view.
