Adding a profile picture is not a "must-have" task, yet it definitely is "nice to have". Differentiating objects by visual stimuli is a natural born ability anyone can easily do. Other users navigating on the platform can distinguish your profile from theirs more easily, simplifying identification and categorization.
Here's how to add or change your user picture with a few clicks. Assumingly, your profile has no picture yet.
Prerequisites:
•the image file to add as profile picture, stored in a web-compatible format, preferably in square dimensions
1.Click on the three dots next to the User profile indication in the header to open the drop-down menu. Select the Profile option.
2.The user profile configuration page is shown. Click into the center of the profile picture placeholder located above your user name, on the specifically displayed image addition icon. Doing so will display your platform's browser file upload picker.
3.The file browser is shown. How it works and looks like depends on the browser and platform of your choice. Select the profile picture and click on Open to confirm the upload.

4.Verify the change of your user profile. As opposed to the generic placeholder image, your chosen image is displayed as profile picture.
