•Sign up for an account under https://docs.aws.amazon.com/athena/latest/ug/setting-up.html. This step can be skipped if an account already exists.

•Using the same AWS Region (for example, US West (Oregon)) and account that is being used for Athena, create a bucket in Amazon S3 to hold the Athena query results.
