If bandwidth is limited, for example on a dial-up connection, it can be useful to restrict the amount of bandwidth that Raynet One Unified Endpoint Manager may use, so that you can continue with other tasks while Raynet One Unified Endpoint Manager is downloading software files. You may also wish to nominate the amount of bandwidth that Raynet One Unified Endpoint Manager can use on a high-speed connection.
You can define the amount of bandwidth for Raynet One Unified Endpoint Manager to use if
•Your Raynet One Unified Endpoint Manager administrators generally granted access on bandwidth usage options
•You either see the installation agent dialog or the icon in the system tray when the installation agent is running
•Specify bandwidth usage.
Note: If you encounter bandwidth issues and are not equipped with the necessary permissions to manage bandwidth settings, contact your Raynet One Unified Endpoint Manager administrator. |
To specify bandwidth usage:
1.Do one of the following:
•From the installation agent user interface, click Bandwidth...
•Right-click the Raynet One Unified Endpoint Manager icon in the system tray and select Bandwidth...
The Raynet One Unified Endpoint Manager - Bandwidth usage dialog is displayed.
2.Click and drag the slider control to set the percentage of network bandwidth Raynet One Unified Endpoint Manager can use when downloading software files. The range within which you can specify a value is set by your Raynet One Unified Endpoint Manager administrators.
The bandwidth usage selection is saved, and is effective immediately.
3.Click Close to exit the Bandwidth usage dialog.
