Tiers

Tiers are used to structure products, publishers, and functions. Each are categorized into three different tier levels. Multiple aspects are considered defining the tier. It will be determined by a combination of all these aspects. Therefore, it is possible that a single aspect might be more fitting to a different tier. The following aspects are an example of the aspects considered when defining the tier of a publisher:

Industry rank (determined by Raynet)

Number of software releases (overall and per year)

Number of Raynet customers with the manufacturer active in their environment.

Tier 1 therefore contains the most widespread and well-known publishers while tier 2 is comprised of lesser known publishers and tier 3 is comprised of publishers that are not generally known.
