Batch Editing Tasks

Batch editing allows common properties to be updated across multiple tasks simultaneously. To open the batch edit wizard, select two or more tasks in the task list and click the Edit button.

The batch edit wizard consists of two steps:

Step 1: Tasks

The first step displays the list of tasks that will be affected by the batch edit operation. Each task is shown with its icon, name, and connector type. Review the list to confirm that all intended tasks are included before proceeding.

Step 2: Attributes

The second step shows the properties that can be updated in batch. Only properties whose checkbox is enabled will be changed. Properties whose checkbox is not enabled are left unchanged on all selected tasks. The following tabs are available:

General Tab

The General tab allows changing the following properties on all selected tasks:

Owner
Enable the checkbox to update the owner field on all selected tasks with a new value.

Folder
Enable the checkbox to move all selected tasks into a different folder. Use the folder picker to select the target folder.

Agent
Enable the checkbox to assign a new agent to all selected tasks. The agent picker displays available agents with their connection and authorization status. For Data Transformation tasks, Server mode is also available as a selection option. This option is not available when tasks of different connector types are selected together (for example, automated tasks combined with transformation tasks).

Advanced Tab

The Advanced tab allows updating execution settings for all selected tasks. Enable the relevant checkboxes to overwrite the agent execution and data handling options. See Advanced for a description of each setting.

Schedule Tab

The Schedule tab allows updating the execution schedule for all selected tasks. Enable the schedule checkbox to apply a new schedule to all selected tasks. See Schedule for a description of the available scheduling options.

Note:

Batch editing applies only to the properties whose checkboxes are enabled. Connector-specific settings (such as configuration or connection settings) are not available in batch edit mode. When tasks of different connector types are selected together (for example, automated tasks and transformations), the agent cannot be changed. If the selection includes a container task, the available advanced settings are also limited.
