The following prerequisites must be met before configuring the Tanium Asset connector:

 

•The Tanium Asset Management module must be licensed and active in the Tanium environment.

•A Tanium user account with access to the Asset module is required to generate a Personal Access Token.

 

To generate a Personal Access Token in the Tanium Console:

 

1.Log in to the Tanium Console.

2.Navigate to Administration > Permissions > API Tokens.

3.Click New API Token and set an appropriate expiration interval. By default, the token maximum interval is 365 days; if no value is entered, the interval defaults to 7 days.

4.Copy the generated token and store it securely. The token is only displayed once.
