The Report Designer includes an AI-powered generation feature that allows you to create or redesign reports using natural language prompts. Instead of manually configuring each report element, you can describe the desired report layout and content, and the AI will generate a ready-to-use report structure for you.
|
Note: The AI functionality must be configured before use. Follow the step-by-step instructions in the Enabling AI Functionality section. |
1.Open the report you want to work with, then click Design at the top of the page to enter the Report Designer.
2.In the Report Designer toolbar, click Generate with AI. The AI generation panel opens.
3.Choose one of the following options:
•Custom prompt — Enter a free-form description of the report you want to generate. Describe the data to be shown, the desired layout, groupings, and any specific columns or fields to include.
•Predefined prompt — Select a ready-to-use prompt from the list of available templates. These templates provide a structured starting point and can be customized before generation.
4.After entering or selecting a prompt, click Finish. The AI processes your input and generates the report based on the provided prompt.
For best results, include the following information in your prompt:
•The type of data to be displayed (for example, devices, software, users)
•The columns or fields to include
•Any grouping, sorting, or filtering requirements
•The preferred layout or report style
The Report Designer AI generation feature uses OpenAI's Large Language Models (LLMs). Raynet One Data Hub interacts with OpenAI's API, consuming tokens based on the amount of processed text. Token usage is typically minimal, resulting in low costs. You can monitor your exact usage and expenses via your OpenAI account.
When using AI-powered report generation:
•Only metadata (such as available tables, columns, and a few sample rows) is sent to OpenAI.
•Full datasets are never transmitted — actual data processing happens on-premise.
•Machine learning models are used to determine the best way to generate the report structure while maintaining data security.
This ensures that your sensitive information remains protected while leveraging AI-powered report generation.
