In order to use the Nutanix Prism connector, the following prerequisites must be met:
1.Ensure that Nutanix Prism Central is deployed and accessible via network connection.
2.Verify that the Prism Central instance is running and the API endpoint is accessible (typically on port 9440).
3.Create a user account in Nutanix Prism Central with appropriate permissions to access the API.
4.Ensure the user account has sufficient permissions to read the required entity types:
•Virtual Machines
•Clusters and Hosts
•Images and Volume Groups
•Network configurations (Subnets, VPCs, Security Rules)
•Projects
•Identity and Access Management (Users, User Groups, Roles, Permissions, Access Control Policies)
5.Verify network connectivity from the Data Hub Agent to the Nutanix Prism Central instance.
6.If using HTTPS (recommended), ensure that SSL/TLS certificates are properly configured and trusted.
7.Note the following information for connector configuration:
•Prism Central URL (including protocol and port)
•Username
•Password

Note: It is recommended to use a dedicated service account with read-only permissions for the connector. The connector only performs read operations and does not modify any data in Nutanix Prism Central. |
