The Nutanix Prism connector retrieves entity data from Nutanix Prism Central using the v3 REST API. The connector supports selective data extraction, allowing you to choose which entity types to retrieve based on your requirements.
Available Entity Types
The following entity types can be extracted from Nutanix Prism Central:
Compute Resources
•Virtual Machines - Detailed information about virtual machines including configuration, power state, resources, and network settings.
•Clusters - Cluster configuration and status information.
•Hosts - Physical host information including hardware specifications and status.
Storage Resources
•Images - VM disk images and ISO images available in the environment.
•Volume Groups - Storage volume group configurations.
Network Resources
•Subnets - Network subnet configurations.
•Network Security Rules - Security rules and firewall configurations.
•VPCs - Virtual Private Cloud configurations.
Project and Identity Management
•Projects - Project definitions and resource allocations.
•Users - User account information.
•User Groups - User group definitions and memberships.
•Roles - Role definitions and associated permissions.
•Permissions - Permission definitions available in the system.
•Access Control Policies - Access control policy configurations.
Data Format
The extracted data is stored in CSV format with one table per entity type. Each entity type is retrieved using the Nutanix Prism Central v3 API and includes all available attributes returned by the API.
