The OpenLDAP connector requires the following prerequisites to be configured and available in your environment:
System Requirements:
•Running OpenLDAP server accessible via network (see [OpenLDAP SOftware 2.6 Administrator's Guide: A Quick-Start Guide](https://www.openldap.org/doc/admin26/quickstart.html))
•OpenLDAP service active on standard ports (389 fpr LDAP, 636 for LDAPS)
Authentication & Access:
•Valid LDAP bind credentials (service account with username/DN and password for directory authentication)
•Read permissions for target directory objects and attributes that the connector needs to query and retrieve
Network Configuration:
•Firewall rules allowing LDAP traffic on required ports
•SSL/TLS certificates configured(if using LDAPS)
•DNS resolution for OpenLDAP server hostname

Be aware: DNS resolution is required for hostname-to-IP address translation. Without functional DNS lookup, the connector will fail to establish connection to the OpenLDAP server regardless of valid network connectivity and authentication credentials. Contact support for troubleshooting assistance if necessary. |
