The section describes the configuration steps for setting up the Jamf Pro Connector to integrate with a Jamf Pro environment using BASIC authentication. The Jamf Pro Connector retrieves data such as computer inventory, mobile devices, and user accounts via the Jamf Pro API.
For BASIC authentication in Jamf Pro Admin Console, setup a user. Follow the steps:

•Navigate to Settings > System > User accounts and groups in Jamf Pro. •Click the New button to setup a new user. •Enter a unique username. •Set a strong password. •Select tailored permissions for the user. •Switch to the Privileges tab to configure specific permissions required for API access, such as read access to computers, mobile devices and users. •Click Save to create the account.
