In order to use the connector it is necessary to have access to a user with at least read access to the target environment. If BASIC authentication is used, only the server URL, username, and password are necessary.

 

To configure the credentials for the BASIC authentication execute the following steps.

 

1.Use the Application Navigator in the ServiceNow main window to open Connections & Credentials > Credentials.

2.Click on the New button.

3.Select the type of credentials. For the BASIC authentication click the Basic Auth Credentials link in the list of credential types.

4.Enter a name for the credentials as well as a user name and password.
