In order to create a Personal Access Token that is used to authenticate with the Asana REST API execute the following steps.

 

1.Click on the profile picture at the top bar and select My Profile Settings.

2.Click on the Apps tab.

3.Click on Manage Developer Apps.

4.Click on the + Create New Personal Access Token button.

5.Enter an easily identifiable description for the Personal Access Token.

6.Click on the Create button.

7.Copy the token and save it to a secure location. This is the only time the token will be visible. If the token is lost, a new token needs to be created.
