Raynet One automatically removes outdated job records through a scheduled background process called JobDataCleanUp. This process runs periodically and archives job entries that have exceeded the configured data retention period. Administrators can configure the retention period to suit the organization's operational requirements.
When the JobDataCleanUp process runs, it evaluates all job records against the configured retention period. Jobs that are older than the retention threshold are archived — their Archived flag is set to true, which removes them from the active job list. The job records themselves remain in the database, but archived jobs are no longer visible in the standard job views.
In addition to archiving the job entries, the cleanup process permanently deletes the associated staged results from the system. This reduces storage usage over time and keeps the operational data relevant to current activity.
The data retention period determines how long job records are kept in the active job list before being archived. This setting is configured in the application settings of the Raynet One server and requires administrator access to the server configuration.
To configure the retention period, set the JobDataCleanUp retention value in the application settings file. The value specifies the age threshold after which jobs are archived. The default retention period is two years.
After changing the retention period setting, restart the scheduler service for the change to take effect. Contact your system administrator or refer to the Installation Guide for details on modifying application settings and restarting services.
The JobDataCleanUp process runs automatically on a recurring schedule managed by the server-scheduler service. No manual intervention is required for routine cleanup. The scheduler configuration controls when and how often the cleanup runs. For details on the scheduler setup, refer to the Installation Guide.
Once the cleanup process archives a job, it is no longer visible in the active job list. If you need to review historical job records that have been archived, contact your system administrator. Archived jobs remain in the database and are not permanently deleted by the cleanup process — only the associated staged results are removed.
