File upload control

Several wizards in Raynet One allow you to upload a file as part of the workflow — for example, when adding a device, a network, or a purchase. These wizards use a unified file upload control that provides a consistent experience throughout the application.

How to use the file upload control

The file upload control supports two methods for selecting a file:

•Click to browse: Click anywhere on the upload area to open your system's file browser and navigate to the file you want to upload.

•Drag and drop: Drag a file from your file manager and drop it directly onto the upload area.

After a file is selected, its name is displayed inside the upload area. To remove the selected file and start over, click the Remove icon next to the filename.

Each wizard specifies the accepted file types and any applicable size limits. If you select a file that does not meet these requirements, an error message is displayed and the file is not accepted.

Where the upload control is used

The unified file upload control appears in the following wizards:

•Asset Management > Devices: Add device (file-based import)

•Asset Management > Networks: Add networks (file-based import)

•Asset Management > Databases: Add Oracle database

•License Management > Purchases: Add purchase (import from file)

•Endpoint Management > Package Library: Add local package (Windows, Linux, macOS)
