The Data Hub integration connects Raynet One to a RayVentory Data Hub server instance, enabling the AI Chat feature to retrieve and analyze data stored in the Data Hub. This integration extends the AI Chat capabilities by providing access to data managed and processed by Data Hub, starting with Office 365 data retrieval.
|
Current limitation: At this time, only the retrieval of Office 365 data via the AI Chat is supported. Additional Data Hub data sources may be made available in future releases. |
Once the Data Hub integration is configured and activated, the Raynet One AI Chat can query Office 365 data from the connected Data Hub instance. This allows users to ask natural language questions about their Office 365 environment directly within the AI Chat interface.
The integration communicates with the Data Hub server using a URL and API key. The connection is validated during setup to ensure the Data Hub server is reachable and the credentials are correct before the integration is saved.
Before configuring the Data Hub integration, ensure the following requirements are met:
•A running RayVentory Data Hub instance that is network-accessible from the Raynet One server.
•The URL of the Data Hub server endpoint (e.g., https://datahub.example.com).
•A valid API key with sufficient permissions to access Data Hub services.
•The AI Chat feature must be configured to make use of Data Hub data via the AI Chat interface. See AI Chat Configuration & Deployment for details.
To add and configure the Data Hub integration, use the Add integration wizard. For step-by-step instructions on using the wizard, see Add an integration.
When prompted to select an integration type, choose Data Hub. You will then be asked to provide the following settings:
Setting |
Required |
Description |
|---|---|---|
URL |
Yes |
The base URL of the Data Hub server endpoint. The URL must be a valid, reachable address. |
API Key |
Yes |
The API key used to authenticate requests to the Data Hub server. The key is validated against the server during setup. |
During the setup process, Raynet One verifies that the provided URL is correctly formatted and that a connection to the Data Hub server can be established using the given API key. If the connection check fails, the integration cannot be saved. Verify the URL and API key before retrying.
After the Data Hub integration has been successfully configured and activated, the AI Chat feature gains the ability to query Office 365 data from the connected Data Hub server.
Users can ask questions about their Office 365 environment directly in the AI Chat interface. The assistant routes these requests to Data Hub and returns structured results based on the data available in the connected instance.
Example questions you can ask in the AI Chat:
•"How many Office 365 users are currently active?"
•"Which Office 365 licenses are assigned to users in my environment?"
•"Show me a summary of Office 365 usage across my organization."
|
Note: The AI Chat must be separately configured and active for the Data Hub integration to provide data in the chat interface. See AI Chat for an overview of the AI Chat feature. |
After the integration has been created, you can inspect its current configuration and update the URL or API key at any time. For instructions, see Inspect and edit an integration.
