AI Chat

The AI Chat feature in Raynet One provides an intelligent assistant that helps you interact with your IT landscape using natural language. The AI assistant can answer questions, retrieve data, and provide insights about your devices, software, networks, and other IT assets.

Overview

The AI Chat combines the power of large language models with direct access to your Raynet One database. This enables the assistant to:

Answer questions about your IT infrastructure in plain English

Query and analyze data from your inventory

Provide information about devices, software, networks, and databases

Access licensing information and encyclopedia data

Maintain conversation history for context-aware responses

Opening the AI Chat

To access the AI Chat assistant:

1.Locate the AI Chat icon in the header area of the application interface.

2.Click the AI Chat icon to open the chat window.

3.The chat interface will appear as a modal window overlaying your current view.

Using the AI Chat Interface

The AI Chat interface consists of several key areas:

Sidebar

The left sidebar displays your chat history and allows you to:

Create a new chat conversation

View and select from recent chat conversations

Browse chats organized by time periods (today, yesterday, last 7 days, etc.)

Delete conversations you no longer need

Chat Area

The main chat area displays the conversation between you and the AI assistant. Messages are clearly distinguished:

Your messages appear on the right side

AI assistant responses appear on the left side

System messages indicate when the assistant is processing information

Input Box

At the bottom of the chat window, you will find the input box where you can:

Type your questions or commands

Attach files to your messages (when applicable)

Use voice input for dictating your messages

Send your message by clicking the send button or pressing Enter

Examples of AI Chat Usage

Here are some examples of questions and tasks you can ask the AI assistant:

"Show me all devices running Windows 10"

"What software is installed on device XYZ?"

"List all vulnerabilities in my environment"

"What is the database structure for the Devices table?"

"How many devices are in organization unit ABC?"

Real-time Communication

The AI Chat uses WebSocket technology to provide real-time responses. When you send a message:

1.Your message is sent to the AI service

2.The assistant processes your request and may query the database if needed

3.You will see status updates showing what the assistant is working on

4.The response streams back to you in real-time

Voice Mode

The AI Chat includes voice capabilities that allow hands-free interaction:

Enable voice mode to have the assistant read responses aloud

Use voice dictation to speak your questions instead of typing

Voice mode automatically continues listening after the assistant responds

Data Previews and Visualizations

When the AI assistant retrieves data from your system, it may present the information in various formats:

Data grids showing tabular information

Dashboards with summary statistics

Pie charts for visual data representation

Plain text summaries and explanations

Managing Chat History

Your conversations with the AI assistant are automatically saved, allowing you to:

Return to previous conversations at any time

Continue where you left off in a previous discussion

Review past questions and answers for reference

Delete conversations to keep your chat history organized

Each conversation automatically receives a title based on the content of your initial question, making it easy to find specific discussions later.

Context Awareness

The AI assistant is context-aware, meaning it:

Remembers previous messages in the current conversation

Knows which page you are currently viewing in the application

Can provide more relevant responses based on your current workspace

Maintains context throughout multi-turn conversations

Best Practices

To get the most out of the AI Chat feature:

Ask specific questions for more accurate results

Use proper device names and identifiers when querying specific assets

Start new conversations for different topics to keep your chat history organized

Provide feedback if responses are not what you expected by rephrasing your question

Review the status messages to understand what data the assistant is accessing

The AI Chat feature enhances your Raynet One experience by providing intuitive, conversational access to your IT data and insights.
